10:59 pm - I should have spat on him. Today, I rode my bike home from work, like I do most every day that is a work day. I stopped by the gas station to use their free air pump to fill my tires. They were both getting a little low, especially the back, and now they're both a nice 80 psi or so.
leaving the gas station, I rode through the parking lot of coddingtown mall, and passed by a van going the opposite direction. Their windows were down, and the driver, a sweating fat man with a greasy mustache, shouts to me as I pass by "can you help us out?"
I spend half my day giving directions to people, so I instinctually assume that is what they want. I swing my bike around the back of their vehicle and pull up next to the passengers side "what are you trying to find?" I asked him, past his slightly less obese female companion.
there, stopped next to me, their engine still running, he asks "well, we need some money for gas"
Not quite sure what to make of it, I motioned to my bike and said "sorry, no money for gas" as if somehow my money were simply the wrong kind of money, not like that other money that can be used for gas, I only had non gasoline money. Not wasting any more time on them, I rode away.
I wasn't even half a parking lot away when the full extent of this event hit me. A man in a van, a motor vehicle, stopped a stranger on a bike, to solicit money for gasoline. A man too lazy to get off his butt and get the fuck out of his car, turning off his engine to prevent what precious fuel he has left from burning away, has the nerve to do a drive by begging to a bicyclist. A man who owns a car thought that maybe the man on the bike may be more fortunate than him, and wouldn't mind spreading the wealth. Not even considering that maybe I can't afford a car, or god forbid, choose not to spend my money on the fossil fuel industry. No. He thinks it's a swell idea to ask for gas money, from his car, with the engine running.
I can't fucking believe this country sometimes. Current Mood: Hate

11:39 am - I'm moving! To be more specific, I've moved. I meant to post something before I moved, but that didn't happen.
I'm now closer to work, and don't feel trapped in my room. I get to use the garage for storage, so I can get rid of my storage unit. I get the whole backyard for myself, which will soon be a vegetable garden. And most importantly, susanna can come visit whenever she wants!
so yes, things are looking good.

04:47 pm - I wish I could hate you to death. There's a lot of shit going on, I don't want to get into it.
It looks like i'll be staying in ropo another half month longer than I thought I would. I am still looking for a job.
I need to figure out where I'm going to live after the 16th. If I manage to get a job in ropo i'll need to find a place here. If not, then I need to find a place in sacramento, away from my ropo friends, for verrry cheap while I search for a job in the area so I can afford a cheap place. why not live with my parents while I job hunt like everyone else? because my mom can't and my dad wont.
option 3? I suppose since I wont have any legally binding commitments for a while I could go anywhere else in the world and try to find a job and a place to live. great. No matter what happens I know I'm not going to be happy with it.
I just looooooovve life after graduation. Current Location: mid air, two miles up. Current Music: Keith and The Girl - live

04:37 pm - Man was not meant to eat 3 thanksgiving dinners in a row. Thanksgiving break was a waste of time. Yes, the food was nice, but really, it was a waste of 4 days. Seriously, this close to finals, there were about a hundred better things i could have done with my time, and most of all i hate that i need a vacation after my vacation to recover from my family.
At least the car accident was kind of fun.

05:52 pm - I got bills to pay. I now have my own place of residence. name's on the lease, keys in hand, PG&E bill and everything. right now we have exactly nothing at all inside the apartment, aside from the appliances that came with it, and until I can borrow a car and a driver i'll be moving my things in via backpack and bicycle.
it's cool though, my roomates will arrive this saturday, and they have a truck.
special thanks go to Alicia, Deanna, and Susanna for lending their assistance in getting me places that I needed to be to get things done for the apartment. And naturally, extra special thanks to Diane for giving this hungry hungry hobo a roof over his head for the last month.

03:32 am - I still can't find a job I thought I was over the whole livejournal "saw this on so-and-so's journal" thing, but being a photographer I felt compelled, perhaps obligated to nab this one. (from af895, if you're wondering)
Ask me to take a picture of any aspect of my life you are interested in or curious about. Comment your choice here, and I'll post the picture in an entry.

04:54 pm - Roommating well, I've got an apartment for the next year or so, starting mid July.
we just need one more roommate to complete the happy little family I'm building out of spare parts. Anyone know of a male or female who needs a single room for about $500 a month, with utilities split 4 ways, close to school, 12 month leases, washer and dryer, pool access. Must be non-homophobic, non-drug abuser.
not sure on tooooo many details beyond that, anyone got any thoughts? i may have more details, and pictures, soon. Current Music: Ask DNA - The Seatbelts

05:53 pm ( The Eternity Hound. )
in other news, I'm angry that Moms closed, even more angry that the school spent our money to close it down.
I'm probably going to be staying in sonoma for most of the summer, looking for work and a place to live next year. I have no idea where I'm going to live, or with whom, but I'm scoping out some nice benches around town, and I hear you can get a good shed at Home Depot for like $500, and that's a one time fee. I'm turning in job applications around campus and off, we'll see how that pans out.
I'm just about ready for this school year to be done and over with, as i will be spending the next two weeks writing papers and feeding upon squirrels in the moonlight. Current Music: Luv Luv Luv - Pansy Division

03:53 pm - do you want your possessions identified? On the downside, I will live to see another sunrise On the upside, I will live to see another sunset.
Last friday i went to my 6 month dental checkup. I was told that I have the gum line of a 50 year old man as a result of Juvenile Periodontitis, which is fancy dentist talk for "your teeth will rot out of your head if you don't floss more"
so yesterday i had to go in again for a root cleaning, that's where they fire Novocain into 5 spots per mouth quadrant (i had the upper left and upper right done, totaling ten shots) and then scrape the shit out from under your gums, because it had gotten to the point that floss wouldn't help anymore.
so i spent an hour and a half with some woman playing in my mouth with a metal hook, telling me about the importance of flossing for the entire 1.5 hour session. i suspect she may be ex-CIA.
oh, and i don't think i've been on LJ for a couple months, so if you think i know anything thats going on in your life via livejournal, i don't. Current Music: Banana Man - Tally Hall

I am going to do everything in my power to get this posted around the school. it is fortunate that the artist provided a large black and white .jpg file to print and post around town.
oh, and by everything in my power, i mean that i am the president of a school club and have the power to put officially allowed and stamped copies on the school bulletin boards all over school.
